What is Vitiligo?
Vitiligo is a condition of skin where pale white patches develop on the skin. It’s mainly caused due to the lack of melanin, which is the skin pigment.
Vitiligo can occur on any skin area, but it mostly happens on the face, neck and hands, and in creases of skin.
What causes Vitiligo?
The main cause of vitiligo is lack of pigment in your skin (melanin) causes vitiligo. Researcher suggests vitiligo could be the result of:
• An autoimmune condition
• Genetic changes
• Stress
How is Vitiligo treated?
Treatment depends on how critical the condition is. If child’s large adenoids aren’t infected, the doctor may not recommend surgery. In other cases, your doctor may suggest medication, such as a nasal steroid, to shrink enlarged adenoids.
