Varicocele is a condition when veins inside the scrotal sac of male swell and get larger. It’s very similar to varicose vein in your leg.

What causes Varicocele/Hydrocele?
The exact cause of varicocele is not known by doctor. It can be due to flow of blood in the spermatic cord, which carries blood to and from testicles. If valves in the veins inside the cord doesn’t work normally, the blood backs up and the veins become larger.
How is varicocele/hydrocele treated?
Not all varicoceles need to be repaired. It’s mostly done if:
• one in pain
• getting problems fathering a child
• left testicle is growing smaller than the right
