What is OCDS ?
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental illness that occurs repeated unwanted thoughts or sensations (obsessions) or the urge to do something over and over again (compulsions). Few people can have both obsessions and compulsions.
What causes OCDS ?
Scientists don’t know exact causes of OCD. Some of causes are:
• Changes in living situation, such as going, getting married or divorced, or joining a new school or job.
• Loved one death or other emotional trauma.
• Abused history.
• Sickness (if you get the flu, for example, you may start a cycle of obsessing about germs and washing compulsively).
• Trouble at work or school.
• Problems with close relationship.
How is OCDS treated?
There’s no permanent cure for OCD. But you may be able to treat how your symptoms affect your life through medicine, therapy, or a combination of treatments.
